Agassiz Institute of Education (AgassizEdu) is a science education consulting firm located in Seattle, USA. Our mission is developing and providing innovative STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine) programs for science teachers and students for future careers in the STEMM areas.

AgassizEdu has been worked with government agents, universities, school districts to provide professional development (PD) programs for in-service science/math teachers and innovative STEMM programs for secondary school students abroad since 2004.

AgassizEdu provides an integrated professional development (PD) program for primary and secondary education teachers who are teaching science and math. For PD programs, there are two main objectives. First, the program aims to improve the quality of teaching and to enable science teachers to keep abreast of the latest subject area and pedagogical knowledge. Teachers will strength their familiarity with resources that support active practices through their teaching. Secondly, the program aims to provide the training that will facilitate deeper understanding of the culture and life abroad. It is designed to give the participants a wide-angle view of country conducting the program in both urban and rural areas of country.

AgassizEdu also provides customized STEMM programs with inquiry-based learning in science and project-based engineering program with hand-on experience to secondary school students. For STEMM programs, the classes are designed to give the participants an opportunity to do experience of High Quality Learning and Teaching (HQLT) environments using meta-cognitive approach to learning. The students discuss topics with local volunteers as small and large groups, and participants and local students take advantage of cultural exchange experience each other while discussion in the class.
