Science/Engineering Teacher’s Training Programs
We provide a Short-term Professional Development Program for primary and secondary level school’s STEM (sciences/ technology/engineering/math) teachers during summer. We will provide a high quality academic and an excellent cultural program available to all participants, while working together with local area teachers. We have an instructional faculty of the highest quality who are deeply interested in interacting with the participants. We have assembled a program staff to serve the needs of participants, including a residence director, who will arrange and supervise evening and weekend activities, and an academic host who will accompany participants to area schools.
This program will utilize the considerable expertise of universities in studies of the Northwest area of America, and in the fields of STEM. Faculty experts in science and education will lead the academic sessions, which will include substantial laboratory and field activities. Experienced teachers will lead the school site-visits, which will emphasize hands-on application of scientific content in classrooms.
During the evening and weekend sessions, a live-in residence director, will support all components of the program. The function of this cultural program is to provide assistance in assuring a meaningful academic and cultural experience for the participants.
The goal of the program is to provide exceptional educational service with three specific main components for all participating educators.
